I have a nephew, now 16 years old, who has Asperger's and is fixated on Minnie Mouse (though NOT, as far as I know, in the manner discussed above.) He carries a plush Minnie with him almost everywhere he goes. (Before Minnie, it was everything Stitch.)

Last February, he came home from school with a lovingly handmade Valentine's Day card and showed it to his mom. She started to thank him for it, but he alerted her abruptly, "It's not for you, it's for Minnie."

Anyway, we generally find these stories amusing among our family, but they always come out kind of disquieting in the retelling.
