Who needs a black princess anyway?

The Princess and the Frog seems to be causing a stir.

But why would anyone be upset that the princess of the story was updated to be African American in the new animated Disney film? Princesses come from all over the world, and so far Disney has shown Europe and Asia. So what's all the fuss over? I'm not sure what country this is suppose to take place, or what true nationality she is suppose to be, but she seems to round out the Disney Princesses.

What do you think? Any one heard any of the rumblings, or is this just marketing hype?
