Ugh... I hate Sprint! I was with them for almost 11 years without a single problem. In 2007, I decided that the price was too high for someone who wasn't using her cell phone, and didn't have the time to, due to full-time college and two part-time jobs. I wish I could remember all the details now, but it goes something like this:
I hadn't upgraded or changed my contract in nearly 3 years and yet I was still charged for two months beyond the end date of the month (about $85/month, if I recall correctly). This was
not in the verbiage of the most recent contract with them, but they went for it, anyway. I tried, with what little time I had, to fight the additional charges, but nothing seemed to work. Already in the middle of fighting off other (both real and false) debtors, I decided that the money wasn't worth the fight, and paid them.
Today, I know what I'd do differently if dealing with them and my debt, but they were so unhelpful and unsympathetic to my plight. I'd been a customer of theirs from when Candice Bergen was still a spokesperson, and their branding relied upon pin needles (and wasn't there a dime phase?) dropping on shiny black surfaces, for crying out loud! Gah!
Sadly, my company uses Sprint Nextel. Since it's a free phone, I'm taking it.
Ugh.
