Macaroni and cheese
... but the homemade-from-scratch kind, rather than the usual box kind

. Used the BH&G cookbook recipe, eliminated the onion (by request... I'd have kept it), and in addition to the dash of black pepper, added nutmeg, white pepper, and a sprinkling of salt.
I think it would have benefited from my usual mac & cheese extras of minced garlic and rosemary. Or at least some garlic, even if it was just a little garlic powder.
