 Aww, I liked it.  It was perhaps a little bit of a let down for me, though I actually liked the fanboy's style.
It brought to mind other movies that are about film stars who think they've been hired for a role but it's a real situation.  
Three Amigos, Galaxy Quest.  Are there any more?
