We might!
And, how appropriate to "celebrate" the Depression now, eh?
Prohibition ran from 1919-1933 (the ENTIRE 20's were dry). There was a very strong Temperance Movement before and during. Most speakeasies were run by the Mob. The music was all about Jazz and Blues. Because alcohol was harder to come by, stronger spirits were made so you could get drunk faster. AA started in 1935

. Black Friday was October 29th, 1929 and the start of the Great Depression.
Quote:
The Great Depression began in October 1929, when the stock market in the United States dropped rapidly. Thousands of investors lost large sums of money and many were wiped out, lost everything. The 'crash' led us into the Great Depression. The ensuing period ranked as the longest and worst period of high unemployment and low business activity in modern times. Banks, stores, and factories were closed and left millions of Americans jobless, homeless, and penniless. Many people came to depend on the government or charity to provide them with food.

There is LOTS to draw from and I think our house could become a nice little speakeasy. Besides, it was built in 1927.
