Pru, get thee to a doctor soon. It's not normal and could signal infection that could worsen.
I went to feed the fish tonight and, suddenly, I have gone from 10 growing plecos babies to at least 27. I guess we had another batch. I can't keep a guppy baby alive to save my life, but plecos - I've got 'em.
