Spent the day doing homeschool stuff, then took the girl swimming at the health club. She wants to have a pool party there for her tenth b-day next week, so I had to finalise plans and pick up supplies. Twelve or so kids, and then after the party, a slumber party for the girls.

It will be her first official slumber party, so she's got all these crafts planned and movies lined up and such. Going to be a looooong night. I also spent way too much at American Girl. com for her b-day; she is getting the Kaya doll (the Nez Perce one- adorable doll!) and lots of stuff to go with it. I also ordered the Isabel doll and book- a smaller 'for show' type doll that is dressed in Elizabethan era clothing. At this rate, she's gonna have all of them before she's eleven. I don't mind so much, because I love that she still likes dolls, and she takes really great care of them. Her uncle, a carpenter, is making bunkbeds for her dolls.
