I'm not huge on retro clothing these days (I'm just huge IN it, hah) no matter the decade.

Regarding the blue outfit specifically - I've never liked capris for various reasons, and the comparison between the short bottom and the voluminous top makes me think of things like umbrellas and parachutes. Notice how in the drawing, her actual belly looks flat. That is not how it would hang on a pregnant person.

Remember how Lucille Ball looked in her very fashionable, very expensive 50's preg clothes?



There's absolutely no shape to these outfits and they look terrible to me. The stigma of showing the shape of the belly itself was very prevalent then.
