Oh crap, I have to go to lunch. I'm gonna miss the end of the movie. Where's the LoT App for the iPhone?!?!?!
Oh well, my favorite shot passed without much comment by the Cricket. It's the long tracking shot with Hooper, Brody and the Mayor where the last big pitch is made to close the beaches, but the Mayor refuses. There are lots of great shifting compositions of the three characters, and it's a really long single shot ending on the defaced billboard that too many filmmakers would have cut into bits for ease of shooting. A shot like this is really complex in blocking and cinematography, so kudos to early Spielberg.
Sigh, I'm gonna miss the rest of Jaws. Waaaa. Bye!
