Quint starts to overheat the Orca.
There's a shot where they are on the bridge and Quint shoves Hooper. It looks like it was not scripted. Dreyfuss looks like he's going to fall from the bridge and the line he delivers after is quite choked up. I think he was truly scared of Shaw.
The shark follows the boat towards the shallows. Quint wants to lure him there and drown him.
