It helps a bit. I've seen PLENTY (too many, in fact) regular Rocky shows with brilliant costumes, perfect choreography, screen-matching impeccability.

What I haven't seen enough of are theme shows. Back in The Day (and I'm talking late 70's), we tried our hand at a number of theme shows and they were so much fun. None of the casts I've worked with in L.A. ever attempted that* ... and perhaps that was because they were still working on getting their brilliant costumes, perfect choreography and screen-matching impeccability up to the snuff the New York casts achieved years earlier. (Though I will say that a certain L.A cast was years ahead of New York in the set-reproduction department).


So I'm thinking a fun theme show might be more my cup of tea.





* caveat - I stopped doing Rocky in the mid-80's, so I'm not saying L.A. casts never attempted theme shows.
