I was about to share this at the Confessional, but they are song lyrics afterall. Perhaps the catharsis itself belongs there, but the song lyrics are probably more suitable here.
I confess that I am inexplicably moved by this song, the music setting primarily, and the lyrics a close secondary in this case. I'm not one for sappy love songs, but this one is epic... this love is larger than "lovers." Sigh... <sheds a sincere tear>
YOU CAN'T STOP LOVE
Music by Jonathan Elias
Lyrics by Marty Stuart & Kostas
It's greater than the world
Wider than the sky
It's strong enough to make mountains crumble
Or make a grown man cry
It can touch the coldest heart
Put broken things together
Finds what's lost, it never counts the cost
And it goes on forever
You can't stop it
Wake up America
Wake up
Wake up
You can try to drown it in a sea of tears
Lock it up in chains for a million years
Run from it, hide from it, but one thing's clear
You can't stop love
It's freer than the wind
And it shines out in the dark
It's bigger than all of the heavens and earth
But small enough to fit inside your heart
People it's something that you can't forget
Throw it away and you'll find regret
Go ahead, fight it, give it your best
But you can't stop love
