When I worked the public library in high school one of my jobs was processing the donated books (95% of which were passed on to jails or the Friends group to be sold for quarters) and it was amazing the things we'd find.
Also amazing were the number of people who thought we'd have an interest in pornography (we did have Playboy and Playgirl but that was it). Oddly, that stuff generally seemed to disappear before it got much beyond the pages sorting through it.
