This True Dungeon thing sounds like it would be fun, but I'm left wondering more about the experience. The main thing that has turned me off from Magic The Gathering is that it all comes down to an arms race. He who buys the most cards is most likely to win. And that's what ultimately turned me on to D&D. You can spend a lot (mini figs, terrain, tiles, books, books, and more books) or almost nothing at all and it doesn't matter. It's all in how you build your character (which costs nothing) and how you role play (which just relies on experience and imagination).

How does True Dungeon compare?
