The original is a family fav of mine. My brothers and I said "Release the Kraken!" constantly. I have no perspective on it but I still think it's the best Harryhausen. Jason and his Argonauts be damned.
I'm kind of excited about this remake though I figure once the reviews come out I'll probably lose interest. It happens to me every time with these action epics.
