It's a reference to the fact that a lot of very good players have been rented by the Timberwolves.

for the Timberwolves in the last decade. On this list, Wally Szczerbiak is ranked second.
Per the introduction to this new piece, based on feedback the author has now also produced a list of the best basketball players (regardless of where they performed most of that greatness) who played for the Timberwolves in the last decade (and so if Michael Jordan had played one game for the Timberwolves in 2000 he might top the list).
