No stitches needed. The pulled the dangling tooth as it was a baby tooth. Also found out he's got an impacted tooth from the fall that we hope comes back down or they'll have to pull that one too.
They don't do bridges or implants on someone so young so he'll have a "flipper" - bascially a retainer with teeth - for a few years. Can't eat with it but he'll be able to speak and smile with teeth.
He's back to school today and was eating regular food yesterday - just eating carefully and slowly. He's a growing boy and apparently my ideas of things he should be eating did not line up with his hunger level. The boy puts down food and just gets taller and not wider.
We go back to the dentist in a few weeks after his mouth has had a chance to heal.
