So last month one of our friends came to visit (and run the LA Marathon). She brought her husband and her two little dogs. While the husband presented no problem from the outset, we were concerned that adding two dogs to our existing pack of three might be more than a handful. It turned out to be completely fine, so a couple of weeks ago, we decided to adopt another chihuahua (after pit bulls, chihuahuas are apparently the most typical breed in California shelters). As with our last adoption, Lisa immediately started scouring PetFinder, and emailed us a link to a little dog (currently) called Venus. We met with the agency volunteer last weekend, and met the dog herself last night. She's coming to our house tomorrow, and barring some wild rebellion from our gang, she's staying.
