Right, good point on it being pre-drop, but Alex is also right that he could be hanging from something. As for the seatbelt, all you have to do is pull the seatbelt all the way out, connect it, then hold the slack in your hand or tuck it under your leg so that the belt looks like it's across your lap. Tug the yellow tag, then once the ride is moving, slip out.
Errr, I mean keep your hands arms feet and legs and all that.
