Oh, Alex - it's just my usual Zlick hyperbole!
It's not really odd, insomuch as unique. But sometimes the turn of a phrase means not using the most perfectly descriptive English language wording available.
And apart from the hoopla that generally surrounds the "big" numbers that are societally acceptable from the shared calendar (the recent 50th comes to mind) ... Disneyland has, as far as I know, only two oddities of number anniversaries coincident to numbers meaningfully related to Disneyland.
The 33rd Birthday was in 1988, and we celebrated the quirkiness with a dinner at Club 33. After 55, I don't know of any number that will have this nerdy quirk. (Well, I guess I just won't be around in 3810.)
This is the kind of anniversary that's for the Disneyland geeks and not necessarily the masses. The company has some developed cool artwork for merchandise related to this quirk, but I assume all promotion this summer is going to be for Summer LessFailtastic (we hope) and Please Save DCA World of Color.
