Hard to say how hard his crash was, and he was probably disconnected from his bike when the seat broke. It's probably carbon fiber, which doesn't handle impact as well as other materials (I think).

The feed zones are always weird, no matter where they put them.

Love Schleck, too. It always makes me cringe when a rider crashes, in part because they so often *break* things. I saw pictures of Frank with his shoulder in a sling, and he posted on Twitter his x-rays showing the plate in his shoulder.
