We also loved the movie. I appreciated what Tim Burton did with the first two flicks, but this one just worked as a film, without the constant reminder that we're watching a comic book come to life.

A couple of points not mentioned so far:
- The fact that such a cast of stars could be in a movie and not overwhelm the script is a testament to good filmmaking. Simple as that.
- The "Rachel Dawes" character did nothing for me. I hear Katie isn't coming back for the sequel. Big deal.
- Like the comics and Batman:The Animated Series (out now on DVD! Buy 'em all!),
Spoiler:
the villains don't die! That's the way it ought to be. Introducing and killing the Joker in the first Tim Burton flick really pissed me off.

Heady from my experience with Batman, I was all ready to plunk my money down for the FF movie. Then I read the reviews. Looks like a bargain matinee for that one - or maybe I'll wait for HBO...
