Yes, but again.... they'd have a VERY hard time selling 1-day tickets and NOT blockout passes. It would go badly for them.
I imagine that anyone showing up that day who was refused permission to purchase a blockout day ticket could ask for a manager, ask again for a blockout day pass, and when refused, ask if you could purchase a 1-day ticket. When they say yes, you ask them how it is that they could be too full to sell blockouts, but not too full to let you in for more money. I imagine, if you kept calm enough, you could get the manager to agree to sell you a blockout ticket.
