Sorry if I seemed so strident. It's just that I'm a big fan of things happening when they happen, and human compliance with that as encouragement to get up and go. But compromise is good. Fifty Five Fifty is good example. I could not conceive of celebrating Disneyland Birthday some other date, but it was ok to celebrate
my birthday concurrently, which meant 2 weeks after the fact.
Unfortunately, one downer factor of changing the date is that it adds another painful level of logistical hassle in first arriving at a mutually convenient date. It's why dates-certain work best for group things. But maybe we'd like the comfort of having Ju Koon, unlike Yom Kippur, be on a predictable date - say, maybe the second Saturday in October ... ya know, always.
