Residents of the Yacht Club Resort were heard to say, "Hey, why's that guy throwin' bread all over our beach?" To which the raccoons replied, "Nom nom nom." This year, in a surprise casting change, the raccoons were played by familiar local faces, the Really Aggressive Ducks. When asked if JuKoon has become too commercial in recent years, one local participant said, "No, the baguette was free." Thanks France! One more step towards the normalization of Franco-American relations.

That's all from Florida's JuKoon celebration, let's see how things are proceeding in California...

Wait! I believe our Nevada team is about to check in...
Thanks Gn2, great to hear JuKoon is alive an well on the East Coast! Here in the Nevada desert, a small (2 person) contingent of LoT-ers congregated at sunset on the bridge overpassing beautiful man-made Lake Jacqueline in the Desert Shores community to toss their cares away and realign their lives for the coming year. The beautiful ceremony, complete with Gay Club Remix finale, lasted well into the darkness of night and, much like in Florida, featured a small cast of ducks masquerading as the holiday's namesake raccoons! Participants were excited to be able to bring the celebration to Nevada for the first time in this awesome holiday's history.

Back to you, California.
