If (BIG if) he's good, I assume the vow came first, and Snape immediately went to Dumbledore and said, "I've had to do this and now we have to figure out away around it. When it comes down to it, I may just have to stop Draco and let myself die." And Dumbledore might have said, "Well, there's the alternative. Save Draco, and kill me yourself. It may just benefit your place as a spy."

Bah. BAH! There needs to be a fan pole. Those who say Snape is EVIL say aye, and those who think he's still working for the right say, say nay. I just...I'm torn. Obviously. Heh.
