So, family stuff. I (as most of you know) don't maintain family communication lines in the way most people do so I tend to get news all at once.
My aunt managed to run herself over with her own van the other day.
My half-sister is moving to Ohio, with her girlfriend. This was news to me as the last time I interacted with her was in sending her a wedding present in 2007. But if she's out now and happy, good for her.
My ex-stepfather is having a baby with is almost mail order Vietnamese bride (it wasn't really a mail order thing but it was an "arrangement" of some sort).
My niece is finally doing well in school. Apparently auto shop and French classes finally piqued her interest. Problem is, I don't know if you can make a career fixing Renaults.
My uncle's bladder cancer isn't responding as well as hoped, but apparently the weight loss has really helped with the diabetes.
My dad, as he has been for the last five years, is still dead. Meaning I've only got another 11 years of normalcy before freaking out (should it turn out I'm one of those people who have complexes about reaching the age of their parent who died too young).
Both my mom and my other aunt refused to be interviewed for the local news when my other aunt ran herself over. So that's where I get it from, it's genetic. (When my house burned down in Hawaii, the reporter seemed shocked to run into someone who truly did not want to be on TV.)
My family almost seems interesting when I get updated biannually.
