Agreed. He was in no way obligated to do it, he'd already provided more proof than any other president in the history of this nation of his birth. This editorial is interesting. I agree with everything on the first page. He loses me a bit with "Those who question the location of Barack Obama's birth are the very same people who would pack up and move out of the neighborhood if someone like me moved in next door." I do not believe that everyone who jumped on the birther bandwagon is a racist, closet racist, subconscious racist. I DO believe that racism was a leading factor in the why it gained such traction, but that's not the same as saying that to be a birther is to be a racist (even though the two things share the common thread of ignorance).
