Two nights ago, I tried
The Loving Hut, not knowing what I was getting into. It's a mostly-Asian all-vegan chain, and I found the food tasty and satisfying, ideal for the carnivore who wants to learn how meaty meatless can be. What I didn't know is that these restaurants are part of the sect of the Supreme Master Ching Hai, a very pretty Vietnamese woman whose holy mission includes fashion, jewelry, music and tasty vegan chow. The restaurants are spotlessly clean and painted in happy white and yellow, with flat screen televisions playing a constant loop of Supreme Master TV. Surreal, but I'll be going back. (Spring rolls were yummy, and the BBQ TVP was toothsome.)
