Well the Tiki Luau was definately a place for swankers to be last night. The films were perfect for the evening. We learned about Tiki escapism, the truth about Easter Island, and the customs of Polynesia - there is no jealousy and sometimes you just gotta throw yourself into that volcano.

Afterwards came dinner and musical entertainment by King Kukulele and the Friki Tikis. Bill Tapia, a 97 year old veteran of ukelele accompanied a few songs and was a delight. Earlier in the evening he told stories of performing at the Egyptian in 1931, playing minute and a half sets between films, and meeting Louis Armstrong and having a smoke .

Not Afraid lived up to her name approaching the Band members, film makers, and imagineers, making friends sharing the bonds of Tiki-Swank.

This will be a must-do event next year.
