My new second favorite* band is
Icy Hot Club. They play Gypsy Jazz which means lots of Django Reinhardt but also all sorts of other songs arranged in that style. I love the style because it's the best thing for dancing Balboa but it's great for listening too because their arrangements are so creative. They do "Johnny Be Good" but make it "Django Be Good" and manage to make rhymes out of Alice Cooper and stormtrooper in "Puttin' on the Ritz."
They also do a version of the theme from Aladdin and Saturday night they did a Gypsy Jazz version of "Billie Jean" that was amazing and weird. I love these guys.
*My first favorite band is still Stompy Jones. I can't throw them over after all this time and they play a bigger variety of songs.
