As you probably already know, I had a bike accident on Monday- I'm ok, but there's some pretty vicious scratching on the black handlebars of my bike.
I bought my bike, for a couple of reasons. The main one of course, was the motor that would make my rather long commute a bit more palatable. The other was the number of stories I heard about this company's incredible customer service, and reliability of their bikes.
The company is Pedego Bicycles, and they're based in Irvine, CA.
The CEO is a guy named Don DiCostanzo, and one of the stories I'd heard was of Pedego owners who called the company actually having him call them back and going above and beyond what you'd expect to resolve their issues.
Since Don is on Facebook, I sent him a message thanking him for a great bike, but also mentioning that I needed to find some touch up paint for the handlebars.
He replied quickly, and sent an email saying that he was sending out a bottle of black touch up paint and an industrial Sharpie, because sometimes the Sharpie was a bit easier to use.
