I heard on a podcast where the electric vehicles are too silent for the hearing impaired and the idea was brought up about downloadable engine tones to help the hearing impaired with traffic navigation as they stand on a street corner getting ready to cross. so it wouldn't be such a wild idea...instead of ring tones for sale, engine revs and purrs via the i-tunes store.
