DL is a bit far for me to go and be there early. Innoventions, train station, or the top of the parking structure come to mind as good viewing locations, though.

I was planning to hit either the Getty (which will open early at 9, so we can watch the shuttle fly) or the Griffith Observatory. Which would be the best? I was also considering LA City hall, but the shuttle won't be able to get very low in the city, and city hall isn't much taller than the surrounding buildings.
