If I understand correctly, the real parade will be on Saturday, not Friday.

On Oct. 12, Endeavour, riding the same transporter that was previously used to move its sister ships between their Palmdale, Calif. assembly plant to Dryden for ferrying to the KennedySpace Center in Florida, will emerge from its temporary airport hangar home and roll out onto the streets of Inglewood. Basically, Friday they're moving it a few blocks, Saturday they're moving it the 12 miles. I'm sure there will be something to see Friday, but it will likely be less well organized, and concentrated into a much more condensed clusterfvck. So my (current) plan is to try to see it Saturday.
