That's wonderful to hear! As it takes place in New Zealand, I sometimes fantasize that I'll get a call from Peter Jackson someday. (It would be a much smaller scale movie than The Hobbit, though, and would not lend itself to being stretched to three installments.)
Once you get a chance to get your hands on it, I can't wait to hear what you think. And if you or your son are so inclined, by all means post a review at Amazon! I got my first five-star review there a couple of weeks ago. It was from my Mom.
