Like I said, brush than floss for me with no real reason, though as I thought about it I don't really relish the idea of sticking my hands in my mouth before brushing.
However I actually read a compelling reason, described by a dentist to floss first. Fluoride. If you don't floss first, the bits of teeth that have not had stuff removed from them won't be exposed to the fluoride from toothpaste. So floss first to expose as much surface as possible.
I read that a week or two ago. I have yet to remember it in time to break the muscle memory habit of brushing first.
