A friend on FB mentioned Harper breaking himself and called it an example of good hustle and gutsy play. I watched the video. I call it an example of having absolutely no presence of mind on the field. He had no idea where the wall was, and no idea where the ball was (as evidenced by his detour through center field on the way to the right field wall). Bonehead.
Puig hit .517 in Spring training in 58 at bats. The only thing I don't like about his spring training stats is 0BB. But patience can come in time.

Harper started off last season with the same damn the torpedoes I'm swinging at everything attitude. It didn't last long in the bigs. (Overall 10% BB for 2012 vs 16% so far in 2013) so hopefully Puig will get with the program.
Another interesting stat, is that Harper has thrown for less outs this season, not because his throwing is off but because runners challenge him less.

We prefer the term "Youthful enthusiasm" but in this case, yeah the definition of the term is the same in both cases.
