I have friends scattered all over the Seattle environs, and there are pluses and minuses to most areas: Bellevue- somewhat expensive, but relatively clean, safe and so forth. Great shopping, but the commute to downtown Seattle can be dicey in the winter. (When WILL Seattle wake up and realize they now have snowy winters? Buy some snowplows, dudes). Lynwood, Mountlake Terrace, Kent, Renton and Edmonds all have their good and bad points as well, but no matter what burb you may choose, you are not far from downtown Seattle, and I tend to think of these places as just sort of bedroom communities for the main metro area. I know people who live in Issaquah who identify as Seattleites. You do realize you will be a mere 4 hour drive from us, Isaac? Stalking may be involved....
