Thanks to everyone for such warm birthday wishes.
Since I couldn't get down to Anaheim to dress in black and relive my college freshman year, we celebrated my 39th (can you believe it?) by driving 45 minutes to Milpitas for a rousing round of miniature golf. Our gang of nine (plus a 3-month old who couldn't hold a putter) braved the heat and battled castles and windmills to complete the full course.
Of course, since it was my birthday, I graciously got the worst score (don't believe it if anyone tells I suck. I threw the game. And I'm sticking to that story).
After our game, we went to San Jose for a wonderful meal at Pizza Antica. Back in the days of "silicon alley" in San Francisco, there was a fantastic restaurant called Gordon's House of Fine Eats run by a guy called Gordon Drysdale. It was my favorite place in the city, but the internet bust sent the place out of business in 2003. Pizza Antica is Drysdale's latest eating establishment - and it was wonderful!
But really, 39 is a not a "big" birthday. And like GD alluded to, next year we're doing 9 nights at WDW. We're reserving rooms now, so if any psychotic west coasters want to spend a very hot and humid summer week with us in central Florida - lemme know.
