^ GD beat me to it. I was also thinking that face transplants already exist, in the movies at least, as seen in "Face/Off." In the real world, if the purpose of face transplants is "to give people horribly disfigured by burns, accidents or other tragedies a chance at a new life," as the article describes, then I think this form of science and medical procedure is worth exploring. This sounds like it's combining cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, but to a more advanced level.
