Ah, that might be the reason for my annoyance. Watching the entire first season in two weeks probably skewed my perceptions. Although in the first season you at least learned something vital about each character in most episodes.

The good moments you point out were good. Although having Kate like Sawyer is lame lame lame. LAME! Yeah, he's hot, whatever, but come on, the guy is a jerk. Oh, she feels such tender loss, because Sawyer is gone? Lame!

BTW, like Mr. Echo said, the Others can't be found if they don't want to be. I'm sure they heard Michael yelling like a jackass but decided to leave him be for now.

Happily, I'll be out of the country for one of the break weeks, so I won't feel the loss as much
