Do you mean a snowstorm? I can't recall ever seeing a business (including my own) close due to a rainstorm. Does it ever rain that hard anywhere?

Hmm, Maybe California needs to have rain days like the snow days they have in other parts of the country. It would seem that many folks can't drive all that well in the rain here anyway, maybe there would be far fewer accidents. Besides, there was nothing cooler than snow days when I was a kid. You always had at least a few surprise days off each year. I have very fond memories of waking up on a school day, seeing the ground covered with snow and eagerly turning on the radio, desperate to hear someone reading school closing announcements. Ah, those were the days.
