When he was thrown in he said "Let me out." Not "I didnt' do it" or "I was on the plane!" They did not show him denying it enough. Obviously it was done this way so that the viewers would agree with Ana. I think it made it less believable.

She was tough and loud before the real trouble even started, and instead of discussing things, she barks condescendingly.

She also threw an innocent man in a pit and starved him for days, and shot at a moving blur in the bushes that ended up being an innocent person. I'm sure she had some horrible past but that's only an explanation for the fact that she's a dangerous jerk.
