Soooo...
After a morning of actually working and going to meetings, I get to my cubical at about 11 and see my voicemail light blinking at me. The office at our apartment complex had called at 9 saying they needed permission to enter our apartment. That can't be good. I call back and it turns out our downstairs neighbors are getting a water leak and they think it might be coming from our apartment. So of course I give them permission to go in. I also snuck out at 11:30 for an early lunch so I could get home and take a look for myself.
Well, by the time I get there (now nearly 3 hours after the office originally called me), it seems as if no one's come by. They always lock the deadbolt and leave a note when they do, neither had been done and nothing in the apartment looked touched. Meanwhile, the good news is that there were no visible signs of problems in our apartment. I was afraid I'd come home to find that the shower faucet had burst and flooded a whole room or something.
Of course, that probably means there's a busted pipe in the wall or something and it's going to require them to tear into the walls and drive us nuts for weeks on end. But thank God none of my stuff is wet!
