Sooo...
Yesterday, we learned something new about our Beardies. They have two penises!
Well, the males have do; not the females.
Two penises.
How very bizarre.
We found out because we reported something to our rep specialist. The male (Draco) that mated with and impregnated the female (Scarlett) that laid 26 eggs last month, attempted to mate again when we put them back together (again was successful as we are waiting for her to lay another clutch of eggs as I write this). After one attempted mating, to which I was unfortunately a witness to - something I didn't to see, I noticed a little blood on Scarlett's hind quarters and tail. Upon looking further, I noticed some blood around Draco's groin, except in higher concentrations. I was able to determine that it was coming from him, especially since he was walking gingerly and keeping pressure off that area.
He ended up okay (which we ascertained by the check-up). But he has two hangy-down thingies! A living double-dildo.
