Man, that's great news. But I doubt that it will have much of an effect on the Disney cheapquels in production. The way the statement was worded: "the domain of those who created the original film," it sounds like the Pixar creative team is taking back its property and nothing more. The first half of the statement does bode well for the future of Disney's attitude, assuming Lasseter gets the leeway we all hope he gets - but I still think I'll be saving a lot of money by not buying a big pile of Disney DVDs in the next year or two.
