Prayers, please?
Hi y'all.
A few years ago, right before I had joined Mousepad, my Mom was diagnosed with a very aggressive, and fastest spreading form of breast cancer. Some of you may remember, since I had posted about her condition at the time. She went through surgery and extremely harsh chemotherapy, followed by radiation. THANK GOD she recovered. She beat that cancer not only through treatment, but through prayer, determination and the best positive attitude. My Mom is my role model & hero.
She called me on Tuesday to tell me she's been diagnosed with endometrial cancer.
I was shocked. Not again. Not my Mommy. I did everything I could to compose myself and be upbeat for her.
So, yesterday she had major surgery. It was about 5 to 6 hours. They removed her uterus, ovaries, cervix, fallopian tubes and some lymph nodes for further testing. Right now, we're praying it hasn't spread. My Mom's biggest fear is enduring chemo a second time. It would break my heart as well.
Her oncologist is positive, so that's really the best news! But prayers are always welcome and a good thing.
Thank you guys for listening and always being a trusty pillar of support, kind thoughts, well wishes & prayers. I'm fortunate to know you all!
