I was waiting for something to happen with Sun and the bald guy as well. I also found myself trying to calculate just how long they'd been on the island so if it was bald guy how far along she would be.
I agree they are making HG too obviously an Other. If he did crash a ballon on the island and lost his wife, I can't imagine he'd be trying to mess with his captors.
